Journey Through Aging – May 14, 2011

The May 14, 2011 Radio Program provides our listeners with a timely
conversation with John Alfano, President/CEO of Leading Age Ohio, The
advocate of not-for-profit services for older Ohioans. We will discuss
the current state budget proposal, and the pending Medicaid cuts listed
in the budget. Then later in the program we will continue our series
with Jennifer Heston learning more about the Eden Alternative and
Principle #9. In our last segment we will learn about legal documents
we all should have in our possession.

Segment 1 – Discussion with John Alfano regarding the Ohio State budget
and the pending Medicaid cuts – which will limit services to older
Ohioans.

Segment 2 – Continue the conversation with John Alfano and learn about
the state budget process. In addition, gain insights about how funding
changes will affect quality care for those in Nursing Homes.

Segment 3 – Jennifer Heston will lead us in understanding Eden
Alternative Principle #9.

Segment 4 – Attorney Jack Alpern helps us understand what legal
documents we should have in our senior years.
